The WWE Network is striving to get subscribers and keep them. They throw out insane offers like giving three free months in hopes they can hook people in and keep them on a monthly subscription. Let’s be honest, they’re doing a good job. Subscription numbers have risen and WWE Network keeps pumping out good original shows.
Now WWE Network is moving into uncharted territory with a game show. The show will have a very interesting host too. PWInsider reports WWE Network filmed the pilot episode for a new game show hosted by R-Truth. With a host like R-Truth, it is sure to be entertaining.
They haven’t released the name of this game show yet, but we have some ideas. They could call it “What’s Up with R-Truth”, “What’s The Truth?”, “Quiz Time, Y’All”… the possibilities are endless really. But we’re sure whatever name WWE chooses for their new game show will be plenty inventive and get the job done.
R-Truth is a charismatic entertainer and this is a great notch in his belt. After all, he’s had a very long career and might be looking toward the end of it soon. Being able to look for work after WWE would be much easier if he had some television hosting experience in his resume. Wouldn’t R-Truth make a great local sports broadcaster? We sure think so.
The pilot was actually filmed in March and it has been picked up for a full season at this point. The plan is for the show to debut in late Summer or early Fall. There is no word on if the show will be WWE themed, but since it will be on the WWE Network it’s a pretty safe assumption it will be.
We’ll just have to wait until the show debuts to find out exactly what WWE Network has in store for us. But, this is very cool news.
