Last week on Friday Night SmackDown Daniel Bryan challenged Roman Reigns for the Universal Championship, and per the stipulations of the match Bryan was banished from the blue brand when he was defeated by Reigns.
Following Daniel Bryan’s loss on SmackDown his profile has been moved to the alumni section on WWE.com. It’s worth noting that WWE has moved signed talents to the alumni section as part of storylines in the past.
There’s been a lot of speculation regarding what’s next for Daniel Bryan, and there seem to be a number of fans who are interested in seeing the former WWE Champion compete in NXT.
One way or another it will be interesting to see where Daniel Bryan goes from here as he’s openly stated that his contract is set to expire soon, and that he’s looking to wrestle part-time moving forward.
Bryan recently noted that his WWE contract does not expire in September, although he did not confirm when his deal is up.
