If you watched this week’s episode of WWE SmackDown Live, then you’re probably well aware that AJ Styles ambushed Commissioner Shane McMahon and he put his head through a car window.
AJ’s SmackDown status is now up in the air, because General Manager Daniel Bryan later fired the former WWE Champion. Shane McMahon then closed the show by telling AJ Styles he has an opponent at WrestleMania, and now fans just don’t know what to think.
It looks like we’ll be getting clarification on AJ’s status in the weeks to come, but for now WWE has moved him to the Alumni section of their website.
Erick Rowan was recently cleared for an in-ring return, but he has yet to return to TV. PWInsider reports that Rowan was backstage for this week’s SmackDown tapings, but obviously he was not used.
Nikki Bella and John Cena recently teamed up for the first time ever when they faced James Ellsworth and Carmella on SmackDown Live last week, and they’re set to team up once again at WrestleMania 33 in Orlando.
The mixed tag team match has been rumored for quite some time now, and this week on SmackDown, General Manager Daniel Bryan made it official.
Fans around the world are just dying to see this match, aren’t you? However, no one is more excited about the mixed tag team match than Nikki Bella herself. Nikki posted the following on Twitter:
