WWE Monday Night Raw Results 2/3/2014
Raw opens up with Randy Orton complaining about being in the Elimination Chamber match. The crowd tries several times to get a CM Punk chant going. Stephanie McMahon and Triple H interrupt him and announce that Randy will have to face each of his Elimination Chamber opponents in singles matches over the next few weeks. A match between Daniel Bryan and Randy Orton is made for the main event.
The Shield vs. Rey Mysterio, Big E Langston and Kofi Kingston – Great back and forth action by both teams. Reigns goes for the spear on Big E but Ambrose tags himself in, hits his finisher and steals the pin. Reigns doesn’t look happy about it.
After the match The Wyatt Family comes on the titantron and cuts a promo about how they’re going to war with The Shield.
Bad News Barrett talks about how Americans are going to die from eating junk food at the Super Bowl. Jerry Lawler gets on the mic and nails him with a really terrible comeback.
Christian vs. Jack Swagger – Christian gets the win with a roll up from the corner. Pretty decent match the crowd seemed into it toward the end.
Steel Cage Match for the WWE Tag Team Titles: Cody Rhodes and Goldust vs. The New Age Outlaws – Great match with a great showing from both teams. Cody Rhodes does a moonsault from the top of the cage onto Road Dogg then Billy Gunn hits Rhodes with the Fameasser and the Outlaws win.
Zack Ryder vs. Titus O’Neil – Pretty much a squash match. Titus O’ Neil gets the win.
Fandango and Summer Rae come out and Santino follows. Summer Rae and NXT Diva Emma have a dance off. Pretty much what you would expect from a filler segment on Raw.
Sheamus vs. Curtis Axel – Pretty decent match but the crowd seemed bored as shit. Sheamus nails Axel with the Brogue Kick for the win.
Batista comes out dressed like John Travolta in Saturday Night Fever, he starts to cut a promo until Alberto Del Rio interrupts him. Batista says he doesn’t have a problem with Alberto then Del Rio punches Batista. Batista chases him off.
Dolph Ziggler, Xavier Woods and R-Truth vs. The Wyatt Family – Ziggler gets nailed with Sister Abigail and The Wyatt Family gets the win.
After the match The Shield appears on the big screen and hypes up their match with The Wyatt Family at Elimination Chamber.
Naomi vs. Aksana – Naomi wins with a split legged moonsault
Daniel Bryan vs. Randy Orton – I can’t stress enough how great this match was. Both guys pushed each other to the limit for almost 30 minutes. Easily the best confrontation between Orton and Bryan so far. The crowd ate it up the entire time. Daniel Bryan eventually hits the flying knee and beats Orton.
After the match Kane and Orton beat Daniel Bryan down as the show goes off the air.
