WWE Makes Major Change To Seth Rollins’ Next WWE World Heavyweight Title Defense

This week’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown will take place from Madison Square Garden, and current WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins is being advertised for the event.

It was originally announced that Seth Rollins would be defending his WWE World Heavyweight Championship against Damian Priest at Madison Square Garden on Friday, but it looks like that match has been changed. Now the official Madison Square Garden website is advertising that Seth Rollins will face Finn Balor on Friday night.

There’s currently no word on why the match was changed, but it’s possible that WWE made the change due to Damian Priest winning the Money in the Bank briefcase last weekend.

Damian Priest previously challenged Seth Rollins for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship on the June 5 episode of Raw, but he was unable to capture the gold. Finn Balor was also defeated by Seth Rollins when he challenged Rollins for his belt at Money in the Bank.

One way or another it seems that Damian Priest has set his sights on Seth Rollins and is now just waiting for the right moment to cash in on the current WWE World Heavyweight Champion.
