Over the years fans have seen some classic commentary teams on WWE programming. Recently Corey Graves & Kevin Patrick have been calling the action on Raw with Michael Cole & Wade Barrett calling the action on SmackDown, but it looks like the company is switching things up again.
Variety is now reporting that starting August 7, Michael Cole and Wade Barrett will be taking over commentary duties for Monday Night Raw. This will be Wade Barrett’s first run as part of the Raw commentary team, but obviously Michael Cole has made many appearances on the red brand throughout his career.
The report also confirms that Michael Cole will continue to be part of the commentary team on Friday Night SmackDown, and he will be joined by Corey Graves and Kevin Patrick. According to a source with knowledge of the situation WWE is high on Kevin Patrick and the belief is that pairing him with Michael Cole will help his growth as a broadcaster.
