The end of the year is quickly approaching, and before we know it we’ll be on the Road to WrestleMania.
WrestleMania season is without a doubt one of the most exciting times to be a wrestling fan, and fans who attend the events during WrestleMania Week know that there is no shortage of events to choose from.
However, fans who were planning on attending NXT TakeOver the night before WrestleMania 35 will have to adjust their schedules, as WWE has moved the event from Saturday to Friday.
Current plans call for WWE to go back to the old format which featured TakeOver on Friday night, with the Hall of Fame induction ceremony taking place on Saturday. WWE issued the following statement to PWInsider regarding the change:
“WWE will be going back to its previous WrestleMania Week schedule with NXT TakeOver on Friday, April 5 and the Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony on Saturday, April 6. We believe this better serves our fans.”
Had WWE kept TakeOver on the schedule for Saturday night the event would have gone head to head with Ring of Honor & NJPW’s G1 Supershow at Madison Square Garden which is already sold out.
