NXT has become a strong brand in its own right over the years and it’s certainly not uncommon to see main roster stars make their way to NXT to start new feuds.
Dolph Ziggler managed to capture the NXT Championship last year, and Apollo Crews ended up returning to the brand to challenge Bron Breakker for the belt. In recent months fans have seen acts like The New Day, Jinder Mahal and Natalya appear on NXT programming and now it seems that another main roster star could be getting into the mix.
Cedric Alexander recently took to Twitter to note that he’s free on Tuesday nights and he also teased challenging for the NXT North American Title when he posted the following:
“I’m free Tuesday nights….. I’ve never challenged for the #NXTNorthAmerican Title…. Hey @WesLee_WWE you feeling froggy? @WWENXT”
