Sunday night at the WWE live event in Hidalgo, Texas, The Usos faced off against Rusev and Aiden English, and The Bludgeon Brothers in a triple threat match. The Usos managed to win the match, but Sunday wasn’t a great day for one half of the SmackDown Live Tag Team Champions. Jey Uso was arrested for what the County of Hidalgo, TX, website lisst as “Driving While Intoxicated 1st.”
Jey Uso, real name Joshua Fatu, was later released on a $500 personal recognizance bond. WWE has issued the following statement in response to his arrest:
“Joshua Fatu is responsible for his own personal actions. We are investigating the matter and awaiting information from local law enforcement officials.”
PWInsider reports that the charge will be considered a Class B misdemeanor and that his alcohol blood level was under 0.15 percent. It’s possible that he could have his license suspended for 90 days to a year, or he may suffer other legal consequences, but at this point that remains to be seen.
As of right now The Usos are still scheduled to defend their SmackDown Tag Team Titles against Chad Gable and Jason Jordan in a 2 out of 3 falls match at the Royal Rumble pay-per-view on January 28.
