It’s been a little while since wrestling fans have seen Jeff Hardy on WWE programming as The Hardys unfortunately had to vacate the SmackDown Tag Team Titles a few months ago after it was discovered that Jeff Hardy was dealing with an injury.
Even though Jeff Hardy hasn’t been appearing on Raw or SmackDown recently he has been making headlines, but unfortunately for all the wrong reasons.
It was reported by TMZ that Hardy was arrested and booked for public intoxication in Myrtle Beach, SC on Saturday. He was reportedly released later in the day on less than $200 bond.
In response to the arrest WWE issued the following statement:
“Jeff Hardy is responsible for his own personal actions.”
Hardy underwent surgery to repair a knee injury a few months ago. As of this writing it’s not clear when he’ll be returning.
