WWE Issues Statement On Hulk Hogan’s Status, GRR Plans For Hogan

Hulk Hogan has been working hard to repair his image over the last few years, and many people are wondering if he will ever end up returning to WWE.

It was recently reported that Hogan is in contact with the company, and the talks are going well. However, WWE issued a statement today clarifying that Hogan is not under contract.

“WWE applauds the work Hulk Hogan is doing with Boys & Girls Clubs of America to turn what was a negative into a positive by helping young people learn from his mistake. While he has taken many steps in the right direction since we parted ways, Hogan is not currently under contract to WWE.”

According to TMZ, the Saudi royal family requested Hulk Hogan for the Greatest Royal Rumble event which took place last week.

PWInsider is reporting that at one point an idea was pitched for Hogan to make his surprise return at the event, but as the event drew closer, talk of Hogan returning died down.

Hogan was inducted into the Boys & Girls Club Hall of Fame this week, and during his speech he talked about educating children and helping them learn from his mistake. WWE officials reportedly paid close attention to his speech.
