Edge recently returned to the ring once again when he faced Randy Orton in the Greatest Wrestling Match Ever at WWE Backlash on Sunday.
Edge vs. Orton was actually taped on June 7th, and it was recently reported that Edge suffered a triceps injury during the tapings.
WWE has confirmed the injury, and it’s also been confirmed that the Rated R Superstar has undergone successful surgery.
WWE posted the following:
“Edge suffered torn triceps in The Greatest Wrestling Match Ever
WWE Digital has confirmed that Edge suffered a torn triceps as a result of injuries sustained during The Greatest Wrestling Match Ever. Edge has undergone successful surgery and is currently rehabbing at home.
The Rated-R Superstar faced Randy Orton in a grueling test of in-ring skills at WWE Backlash. Both competitors were pushed to the brink, but The Viper prevailed over his former friend in the highly intense match.
