The coronavirus has had a massive impact on the professional wrestling industry, and companies all over the world have been forced to cancel events due to the pandemic.

WWE has canceled quite a few live events, and moved TV broadcasts to the Performance Center in Orlando.

The company confirmed that are required to participate in medical screenings before entering the Performance Center when WWE issued the following statement to Sports Illustrated:

“In consultation with WWE Medical Director Dr. Maroon, WWE Associate Medical Director Dr. Dugas and ringside physician Dr. Westerfield, as a best practice and precautionary measure all WWE performers and staff are required to participate in medical screenings prior to entering WWE’s training center, which is now operating as a closed set.”

SI is also reporting that WWE has established a series of protocols based on guidelines set by the World Health Organization and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

It was also noted that due to lack of testing for those in need WWE isn’t testing those who are asymptomatic.
