Jeff Hardy has been out of action for several months after undergoing surgery to repair a torn rotator cuff, but Hardy has been making headlines due to the fact that he was arrested over the weekend.
Hardy was arrested on Saturday for driving while impaired. Wrestling Inc reports that Hardy totaled a 2016 Cadillac CTS-V with an estimated $8,000 in damages. Officer Kelemecz shared the following details in the police report:
“Driver of Vehicle #1 ran off the roadway to the right, in turn striking about 105 feet of guardrail before the back end of the car spun out 90 degrees to the left, coming to rest in the middle of the right N bound lane of travel. The driver was arrested and charged with DWI.”
WWE issued the following statement in response to Jeff Hardy’s arrest:
“Jeff Hardy is responsible for his own personal actions. We are investigating the matter and awaiting information from local law enforcement officials.”
Jeff was reportedly tested for alcohol, but as of this writing results for the test are still pending. Hardy’s license has been suspended, and his first court date is currently set for April 16th.
