WWE Interested In Signing Kazuchika Okada, More International Signings Expected

WWE recently signed top NJPW stars such as AJ Styles and Shinsuke Nakamura and both Doc Gallows and Karl Anderson are expected to debut anytime now. But WWE still has their eyes on the NJPW roster and the Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that the company is interested in signing Kazuchika Okada.

WWE is reportedly interested in Okada because he is billed as being 6 foot 3. Okada previously worked with TNA a few years ago and he has said that he will never go to WWE.

Following SummerSlam 2015 reports surfaced that Okada was backstage at the event and he was well liked by everyone in the WWE locker room. There’s currently a five year deal on the table from NJPW but it’s not yet known if Okada has accepted the offer. If WWE does make a play for him it’s expected that NJPW would offer Okada more money to keep him with the company. Okada is a top star with NJPW and he’s currently the IWGP Heavyweight Champion.

WWE is expected to start signing more international wrestlers from Mexico, Japan and the UK in the coming months. It’s also being reported that the company is interested in at least one star who’s working with Lucha Underground but there’s no word on who it is.
