Fans haven’t seen Brock Lesnar since he defended his Universal Championship against Roman Reigns at the Greatest Royal Rumble, but even though WWE hasn’t confirmed the title defense just yet, he’s expected to defend his title at SummerSlam.
Raw General Manager Kurt Angle announced last week that a multi-man match will take place at Extreme Rules to determine Brock’s next challenger, and Roman Reigns & Bobby Lashley have been confirmed for the match.
WWE recently posted a video on YouTube where Cathy Kelley reports that Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman have expressed a lack of confidence in WWE management’s ability to find a suitable opponent for Brock, which has resulted in contract negotiation issues for his next title defense.
Kelley also reports that both sides have yet to reach an agreement and that negotiations have stalled.
Throughout 2018 Brock Lesnar’s contract status with WWE has been a hot topic, but instead of shying away from the issue, it seems that WWE is more than happy to use it to their advantage by incorporating rumors regarding Brock’s status into storylines.
