It’s WrestleMania season which means that some of the biggest storylines of the year are finally coming together. Dominik Mysterio has been taunting his father Rey for some time now and this week he attacked his father on Friday night SmackDown.
Rey Mysterio made the jump to the blue brand months ago to avoid feuding with his son, but it doesn’t seem that the move has made a difference as it looks like fans can expect to see more of Dominik on SmackDown.
According to the WRKD Wrestling account WWE has gained more and more faith in Dominik Mysterio in recent months. Current plans call for him to appear on both Raw and SmackDown as WWE prepares to set up a Rey Mysterio vs. Dominik Mysterio for WrestleMania 39.

On Friday night Dominik Mysterio faced off against Santos Escobar in a singles match that saw Dom get the win. After the match Dominik ripped up the Rey Mysterio mask that his father gave to Santos Escobar which led to Rey confronting him on the ramp. Rey tried to get the mask back but Dominik dropped it on the floor before hitting his father and knocking him down to the floor as well.
It seems that the Rey vs. Dominik feud is only set to become more and more heated as the weeks continue. Stay tuned for more updates as they become available.
