WWE Hall Of Famer Turns Down Offer To Appear At The Greatest Royal Rumble

The Greatest Royal Rumble is set to take place on Friday, and it’s shaping up to be a huge event. Fans will be seeing WWE Hall of Famers such as Kurt Angle and Mark Henry compete in the Greatest Royal Rumble match, but there’s one WWE Hall of Famer who won’t be appearing at the event.

During a recent episode of X-Pac 1,2,360, Sean Waltman talked about the big event, and he noted that WWE officials reached out to Shawn Michaels in hopes that he would make an appearance.

“[There’s] a lot of money being thrown around,” Waltman said via Wrestling Inc. “It’s an insane amount of money being thrown around. I know that this weekend I was in Baltimore and I was with Shawn Michaels, Scott Hall, and Kevin Nash and we were talking about that. They wanted to get Shawn [Michaels], and he was just like, ‘you know what, don’t even bother sending me an offer and trying to tempt me.’ Because there’s huge money offers. And he’s going, ‘I got a thing with one of my kids, and I’m doing that, and that’s all there is to it.'”

Even though there are many wrestlers who have been convinced to come out of retirement in the past, it seems that Shawn Michaels is staying true to his word. But that likely won’t stop WWE from making more offers in the future.
