Ronda Rousey last wrestled in the main event of WrestleMania 35, but she recently got people talking when she took a shot at wrestling fans during an appearance on the Wild Ride! podcast with Steve-O.
The former Raw Women’s Champion’s comments have rubbed a lot of people the wrong way, but WWE Hall of Famer Mark Henry said he feels she’s 100% right while talking on Busted Open Radio.
“She’s 100% right. We should appreciate Ronda Rousey and all the people that have come to WrestleMania that were not wrestlers. Yes, you’re judged by a different grade, but every now and then, you get one or two or three people, like a Ronda Rousey or Kurt Angle, who come into the sport and they’re so damn good, what would it have looked like if they had been in forever?”
Henry also went on to say that lack of respect from the fans is what he thinks made Ronda Rousey not want to wrestle full time.
“She showed everybody that she was equally as good, equally as passionate about pro wrestling then every women that came before her. And all she wanted was an atta boy, a pat on the back, ‘good going girl, and probably about 90% of our fans gave her that, but it’s that 10% that made Ronda Rousey not want to do pro wrestling full-time…Ronda Rousey is a winner in under three years. Pay Ronda more respect and maybe we can get her more.”
