Roman Reigns has been one of WWE’s top stars for years now, but Reigns has faced some major backlash from the fans during his push as the face of the company.
However, when Roman returned to WWE programming last year he turned heel, and he’s been receiving a lot of praise for his Tribal Chief character.
Booker T talked about Roman’s upcoming match with Edge at WrestleMania on his Hall of Fame podcast, and he said that he thinks Roman Reigns is truly “the guy” right now.
“It’s going to be a hard road to hold up, as far as going out there and actually matching up because he honestly doesn’t match up with Roman. Roman is a beast man. Roman has proved that he is truly the guy. I really feel that way. Not just because he said it, but because the guy is a top notch worker and top notch entertaining and performer. He knows the play book, he knows what Shakespeare is all about. That’s why everybody right now, come on man, all eyes on Roman.”
“Just two years ago, everybody had no love for this guy. So obviously he knows what he’s doing and obviously he knew what he was doing back then. Maybe people wanted something before they were ready to actually give it to him. Right now Roman is truly the guy and I’m looking forward to it.”
