WWE Hall Of Famer Reportedly Released

WWE has released a number of Superstars and employees this year, and it looks like a Hall of Famer was let go a few months back. WhatCulture is reporting that WWE quietly released Jeff Jarrett back in April.

The report notes that the length of Jeff Jarrett’s non-compete clause is unknown, but he has been reaching out to other places trying to get bookings. It’s unclear at this point in time if WWE plans to bring him back at some point.

The mass releases in WWE were attributed to budget cuts, and it was reported earlier this week that WWE released more employees from departments such as marketing, merchandising and other areas related to consumer products.

After Vince McMahon purchased WCW in 2001 he went on to fire Jeff Jarrett live on the air. Jarrett then went on to become one of the key figures in TNA. He eventually returned to WWE in 2018 for a Hall of Fame induction and he took on a backstage role with WWE.

Stay tuned for updates.
