Kenny Omega has been the AEW World Champion ever since he defeated Jon Moxley to win the belt at the special Winter Is Coming edition of Dynamite back in December.
Recently Omega added another belt to his collection when he defeated Rich Swann to win the Impact Wrestling World Championship at the Rebellion pay-per-view.
On Wednesday night the highly anticipated Blood & Guts match aired on AEW Dynamite, and before the match Kenny Omega made his way out into Daily’s Place to cut a promo. Omega was wearing the AEW World Championship around his waist, but the Impact Wrestling World Championship was carried by Omega’s friend Michael Nakazawa who walked behind him.
Some people have questioned how the AEW/Impact partnership benefits Impact, and WWE Hall of Famer Bully Ray noted that if he were in management he would be fuming over how AEW treated the Impact World Title when he posted the following:
“If Im management or owners of Impact Wrestling … I’d be fkn fuming that their World Hvywt. Championship was being carried out by Naka-nobody and not at least over the shoulder of Omega. Perception is reality. #AEWDynamite @BustedOpenRadio”

Next week on AEW Dynamite Orange Cassidy will face off against PAC to determine who will challenge Kenny Omega for the AEW World Title at the Double or Nothing pay-per-view later this month.
