This week’s episode of Monday Night Raw was the go-home show for the WWE Day 1 pay-per-view, and ahead of the show WWE was advertising that The Miz and Maryse would be renewing their vows.
During a backstage segment The Miz could be seen berating someone because he didn’t like the flowers that were being presented to him. Miz said he had some important guests coming tonight including WWE Hall of Famer Eric Bischoff. The former Raw General Manager then approached Miz and it was revealed that Bischoff would be officiating the ceremony. He told Miz that it will be must see TV.
Bischoff later appeared in the main event segment which featured The Miz and Maryse renewing their vows, and he wore a white suit coat in the ring as he was officiating the ceremony.
Unfortunately for The Miz and Maryse their ceremony was interrupted by Edge, and Edge hit them with a Brood Bath. Miz and Maryse were covered in black goo, and Bischoff also got caught in the crossfire.
