On Saturday night Cody Rhodes faced MJF at the AEW Revolution pay-per-view, and things didn’t go his way because MJF picked up the victory.
This week on Dynamite, Cody Rhodes called out MJF, but instead WWE Hall of Famer Jake “The Snake” Roberts made his way to the ring to a big ovation from the crowd.
Jake said he got tired of listening to Cody “crying b**ch.” Jake asked Cody if he understands that he got his ass kicked.
Roberts told Cody he’s not here to praise him, he’s here to slay him. He said the only reason he’s here is because the dark side will be coming to AEW.
He hyped up that he has a client, and he said he will be on the outside of the ring when his client faces Cody, but didn’t reveal who his client is, and he told Cody to bring Arn Anderson with him.
Robert said, “a wise man once told me – never ever turn your back on someone you respect or you’re afraid of,” then he turned his back on Cody, threw the microphone to him, and left the ring as the segment came to an end.
