WWE Hall Of Famer Got Fined Thousands Of Dollars For Breaking Character

There are a number of wrestlers out there who have proven that they have a wide range when it comes to their characters. Former WWE Champion Kurt Angle made a name for himself as a wrestling machine, and he also gave fans plenty of reasons to laugh over the years thanks to his comedic timing.

Kurt Angle participated in some memorable comedy skits while working with the one and only “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, but it seems that the skits actually cost Angle a notable sum of money

During an appearance on Notsam Wrestling with Sam Roberts, Kurt Angle talked about what it was like to film the skits with Austin, and he revealed that Vince McMahon fined him several times for breaking character.

“Vince said, ‘Hey, we’re going to do these pre-tapes, but last week was a disaster because you guys kept breaking characters. You guys kept laughing. So, this week, if you break character, you get fined $2,000.

So, I got fined $8,000 because I broke character four different times. I started getting serious. I was like, ‘I can’t do that anymore, I’m going to lose all my money.’ So, I wouldn’t break character anymore, I don’t know how I was able to do it.”
