Monday Night Raw celebrates its 25th Anniversary in less than three weeks time and there are already a number of superstars that are set to be part of the celebrations. The likes of Undertaker, Ric Flair, Shawn Michaels and Kevin Nash have already been announced for the event, but it seems that another iconic duo has now been booked as well.
WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross recently confirmed on Twitter that both he and long-time broadcast partner Jerry Lawler will be in attendance for the show on January 22nd which will be split between the Barclays Center and The Manhattan Center in New York.
Jim Ross himself confirmed that he doesn’t yet know what WWE has planned for him, but it is unlikely that the duo would be booked for an event of this magnitude and not be put back on commentary for one more nostalgic match.
Given that this is a celebration of the past 25 years, it isn’t that much of a shock that WWE has decided to bring back two of the company’s most iconic stars. Given that the show looks set to be split between two venues, it would make sense to have the iconic commentary team back for at least one match if not the entire show at one of the locations.
The show takes place in less than three weeks time ahead of the 2018 Royal Rumble and it seems that WWE is ensuring that they go all out to celebrate such an impressive achievement.
