The Royal Rumble is quickly approaching which means over the next few weeks fans will be talking a lot about potential surprise entrants. Recently Sean Waltman was spotted at the WWE Performance Center which led to speculation that we could see X-Pac make an appearance on the men’s Royal Rumble match this year.
However, Sean Waltman recently took to social media to share an update on his current status and he denied that he would be appearing in the Royal Rumble when he posted the following:
“I can still go at the drop of hat, at least for a few minutes. I can do all my kicks, except the one in the corner & I can do that again with a few weeks training. I’m at least month away from taking my shirt off in public, so zero chance I’ll be in the Rumble.”
Of course this wouldn’t be the first time that a Hall of Famer has shot down a rumored return to try and throw fans off. Waltman last appeared on WWE programming in January of 2023 when he showed up on the special 30th anniversary edition of Raw, so it will be interesting to see if he’s telling the truth about the Royal Rumble.
We’ll know for sure sooner than later. Stay tuned for updates.
