This week’s episode of WWE SmackDown Live took place from Las Vegas, NV, and it featured a first time ever match between Mustafa Ali and Daniel Bryan, as well as a WrestleMania rematch which saw Charlotte Flair face off against Asuka.
A WWE Hall of Famer was also in the house, as Jeff Jarrett was backstage at the tapings.
Jarrett didn’t appear on TV, but he did hype up the upcoming TLC pay-per-view during an interview that was uploaded to WWE’s YouTube channel.
The former WWE Intercontinental Champion noted that he’s looking forward to Daniel Bryan vs. AJ Styles and the first ever women’s TLC match.
Speaking of SmackDown, Naomi was originally set to face off against Mandy Rose this week, but obviously that match didn’t end up taking place.
SmackDown Live General Manager Paige explained why the match was nixed in a backstage interview, and she blamed it on The Miz for booking a tag team match that she didn’t know was going to happen.
However, Paige confirmed that the match will take place on next week’s episode.
