Monday Night Raw celebrates its 25th Anniversary next week with a special episode that will see the return of a number of legends who have ensured the longevity of the show over the past two and a half decades.
The company have announced that a number of former stars will be in attendance and this past week on Raw the likes of Torrie Wilson, Terri Runnels, Kelly Kelly, Jacqueline and Michelle McCool were unveiled as guests as well.
Many of the WWE Universe wondered why WWE Hall of Famers Trish Stratus and Lita weren’t part of the female announcements, but it seems that WWE was keeping that announcement under their hat until last night on SmackDown when the former seven-time Women’s Champion was the latest guest to be unveiled.
It’s strange that Lita hasn’t been announced alongside her longtime friend and rival since it wouldn’t be much of a celebration without the two biggest female trailblazers in the company’s history, but it could just be an oversight from WWE and since Lita has played such a prominent role in the company over the past few years, they didn’t feel the need to announce her return.
Trish’s appearance will also add to the rumours that suggest that one of the greatest female wrestlers of all time will be part of the Women’s Royal Rumble match on January 28.
