WrestleMania weekend kicked off on Friday night with the annual Hall of Fame induction ceremony which aired after SmackDown. The 2023 class featured some impressive names such as Andy Kaufman, Tim White, Stacy Keibler, The Great Muta and of course former WWE Champion Rey Mysterio.
In the weeks leading up to the event it was reported that Konnan would be inducting Rey Mysterio, and Konnan delivered a speech that got a positive reaction from the audience that attended the induction ceremony.
It seems that the fans in attendance weren’t the only ones who enjoyed Konnan’s speech as Fightful Select is reporting that Konnan’s Hall of Fame speech was very well received by WWE. Ric Flair inducted The Great Muta, and it’s being reported that the opposite was said for Ric Flair’s speech.
It was also noted that talent who spoke on the subject said that they much prefer the newer method for the Hall of Fame induction ceremony as opposed to the way the show used to be prior to the pandemic.
