What WWE Is Doing To Get Fans To Cheer Roman Reigns

Roman Reigns has been one of the most controversial figures in WWE for several years now. As soon as The Shield broke up, Roman found himself on the receiving end of a huge push, and he’s once again heading to the main event of WrestleMania this year.

Reigns was set for a face to face confrontation with Brock Lesnar on Monday Night Raw this week, but it appears that WWE made a change to the script, and Roman ended up cutting a promo by himself instead.

As Reigns made his way to the ring, he was receiving mostly boos from the fans, but after cutting a passionate promo where he criticized Brock Lesnar’s part-time status with WWE, the fans seemed to get behind him.

F4Wonline.com is reporting that the goal of the build to the Brock Lesnar vs. Roman Reigns WrestleMania match is to get fans to cheer Roman Reigns leading up to his win.

The idea was for Roman to cut a promo and give the impression that he was saying things that he could get in trouble for. The plan for the build up to the match is to make everything look like a “shoot” as much as possible which is Roman’s promo came off the way it did.

Roman’s promo seems like it was well received by the fans, but only time will tell if the shoot promo tactic will work to get the fans behind Reigns in the weeks leading up to WrestleMania.

As of right now Brock Lesnar is still scheduled to appear on the March 12th episode of Monday Night Raw.
