WWE is without a doubt the world’s most famous wrestling company, but the wrestling landscape has changed significantly due to the emergence of All Elite Wrestling.
Earlier this year AEW resurrected an old WCW idea for their Bash at the Beach special, and the use of the Bash at the Beach name caused quite the stir.
Now it looks like WWE is trying to prevent similar situations from happening in the future.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that WWE is attempting to trademark the names of all former ECW and WCW pay-per-views, mainly to make sure that AEW and other companies can’t use them.
As noted, AEW recently announced that The Elite will face off against The Inner Circle in their version of a war games match which will be called Blood and Guts.
