All Elite Wrestling has been locking down talent since the inception of the company, and there’s no telling when a WWE star might jump ship to AEW.
Last year Jon Moxley took a chance when he let his WWE contract expire, and he made his AEW debut a few months later at the Double or Nothing pay-per-view.
Jon Moxley’s AEW run seems to be going well, he is the AEW World Champion after all, but fans can’t forget his run as Dean Ambrose in WWE.
PWInsider is now reporting that WWE filed to trademark “Dean Ambrose” on October 8. WWE had a trademark for Dean Ambrose which was cancelled in August of 2020 August 2020 because WWE did not file a declaration under section 8 to maintain the registration.
The trademark was filed for the following uses:
“Entertainment services, namely, wrestling exhibitions and performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer rendered live and through broadcast media including television and radio, and via the internet or commercial online service; providing wrestling news and information via a global computer network; providing information in the fields of sports and entertainment via an online community portal; providing a website in the field of sports entertainment information; fan club services, namely, organizing sporting events in the field of wrestling for wrestling fan club members; organizing social entertainment events for entertainment purposes for wrestling fan club members; providing online newsletters in the fields of sports entertainment; online journals, namely, blogs, in the field of sports entertainment.”
