WWE Fastlane: Sasha Banks vs. Nia Jax

Some stories are almost as old as time itself and this current angle with The Boss and The Girl Who’s Not Like Most Girls is a classic example of big vs. little, a Danielle and Goliath story if you will.

Nia Jax has been running roughshod through anyone she encountered with only a few stumbles along the way. She’s been kept out of the Raw Women’s Championship picture, but tonight might be the chance for both of these ladies to assert themselves into the picture as a fatal 4-way is the current plan for WrestleMania.

Nia started the match by trying to lift The Boss up, but Sasha Banks fired off some quick offense to retaliate. A fast slew of moves really is her only saving grace against someone like Jax. However, Nia quickly slowed the match down to something more her speed.

Try as she might, Nia couldn’t pin Sasha Banks early on in this contest in spite of the punishment she dealt out. Nia threw Sasha Banks across the ring like a sack of potatoes and continued the pressure with one torturous submission hold after another. But Banks didn’t lay down for a three-count or submit.

Nia got Sasha up in a standing torture rack and showed off her strength by doing some squats to prove Banks is well within her weight limit. However, Sasha turned it around on her with a front guillotine and transferred it into a rear chinlock as she wrapped her legs around the massive Samoan.

Sasha Banks hit Jax with a snap-DDT and then got the Banks Statement on Nia, but she was able to get back on her feet while the hold was locked in and slammed her opponent to the mat. Jax hit Sasha with a splash and flattened The Boss.

Nia Jax got up for another slam for good measure but it didn’t end well in her favor. Banks rolled around Nia and pinned her for the three-count. Looks like Danielle finally beat Goliath.
