Earlier this week WWE announced budget cuts and then proceeded to release quite a few talents from the main roster and NXT.
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, NXT talents who got released will be under a 30 day non-compete clause, so they will be free to go elsewhere on May 15.
However, main roster talents are under a 90 day non-compete clause and won’t be able to appear for other promotions until July 15.
It’s also being reported that while more NXT releases are expected, the company isn’t expected to release any more talents from the WWE main roster.
Many people who aren’t featured on NXT TV regularly are said to be worried about their jobs.
