WWE Expected To Hold More International Premium Live Events

Over the weekend the stars of WWE traveled to Puerto Rico for the Backlash premium live event and the show was a huge success. It’s been a while since WWE has held such a big event in Puerto Rico and the fans in attendance made it clear that they were happy to be at the show as they were electric throughout the night.

The fans in Cardiff, Wales were also loud last year when WWE brought Clash at the Castle to them and later this year the Money in the Bank premium live event will take place from London, England.

Fightful Select reports that WWE higher ups were extremely happy with the reaction for Backlash in Puerto Rico and the numbers associated with the show. It’s expected that WWE will be holding more specialized and localized events when it makes sense for the company.

There’s currently no word on what other locations might be in the running for future shows, but it’s being reported that WWE has spoken with reps in Australia to gauge potential interest in a premium live event. Stay tuned for more updates as they become available.
