WWE Employee Trying To Get TV Tapings At Performance Center Shut Down

The coronavirus has had a big impact on the professional wrestling business, and weeks ago WWE moved all of their TV tapings to the Performance Center in Orlando.

The TV tapings at the Performance Center have been met with controversy, but the Florida state Governor’s office declared last week that WWE is an essential business.

On Tuesday the Orange County Board of County Commissioners held a meeting where they opened the floor to public comment, and an employee of WWE referred to only as “John” expressed concern about the tapings.

“John” noted that he feels employees are being “forced to work” despite stay at home orders, and that he fears that he will be fired if he speaks to higher ups about the issue. It was also noted that despite sanitary precautions employees can’t maintain social distancing while working the tapings.

“John” then requested that the government shut down the tapings so that he and his colleagues can follow social distancing orders without fear of losing their jobs.

WWE has yet to respond as of this writing.. Stay tuned for updates.
