It was an action packed weekend at the Empress Ballroom as 16 competitors pulled out all the stops as they attempted to become the first ever WWE United Kingdom Champion. In the end it came down to Tyler Bate and Pete Dunne.
After Tyler Bate secured his spot in the finals earlier in the night Pete Dunne made his way out to the ring to attack Bate, and it was later announced that Bate would be going into the finals with an injured shoulder caused by the attack. Luckily the injury didn’t slow Bate down, as he went on to have one of, if not the best match of the tournament when he faced Dunne in the main event of night two.
After a hard fought back and forth contest, it was Tyler Bate who scored the victory when he put Pete Dunne away with the Tyler Driver. After the match the 19 year old Tyler Bate stood in the ring with Finn Balor, William Regal Fit Finlay and Triple H. Bate celebrated as he held the title and Triple H raised his arm.
Tyler Bate received a loud ovation from the crowd as they chanted “You deserve it!” Triple H, William Regal, Finn Balor and Fit Finlay then left the ring and Tyler then stood in the corner and soaked up his moment as the show went off the air.
