The Survivor Series pay-per-view will have a Raw vs. SmackDown theme this year, and stars from each show will be out to prove that they wrestle for the superior brand. The only problem is that in order to make your brand look superior, you have to win your respective match, and the WWE creative team is reportedly at odds in regards to the finishes for the event.

DirtySheets.net is reporting that preliminary creative meetings for the pay-per-view have ended in deadlock because neither creative team wants to see their roster weakened at Survivor Series. Vince McMahon has reportedly told the creative team that Raw needs to come out ahead 3-2, and Brock Lesnar is currently favored to defeat Jinder Mahal.
It’s also being reported that Asuka’s status for the pay-per-view is unclear at this point, and her booking has been a key issue in the preliminary meetings.
The Raw writing team wants to prevent anyone from getting a victory over Asuka, and the current plan is for Team SmackDown to win the women’s Survivor Series match, which means Asuka could be left off the pay-per-view entirely.
However, some feel that leaving Asuka off the show would make her look as if she’s not one of the top women on Raw, so creative plans could continue to change to cater to Asuka and keep her streak intact.
