Daniel Bryan is back in action, and he’s set to team up with Kane and challenge The Bludgeon Brothers for the SmackDown Tag Team Titles at Extreme Rules on Sunday.
Now that Daniel Bryan is once again an in-ring performer, he has to make the most of the storylines he’s given, but the always outspoken Bryan doesn’t agree with everything that’s written for him.
Bryan recently spoke to Gorilla Position, and he noted that if he sees something he doesn’t like, he’ll make a suggestion in regards to how it could be changed, but his suggestions are usually just ignored by the creative team (via Wrestling Inc).
“If I see stuff on the show that I don’t like, right, I’ll be like, ‘okay,’ for me, for my stuff, I’ll go in and I’ll say, like, ‘hey, I don’t like this because of this, this, and this. Here’s my idea of how to fix it, how I think it’s better,’” Bryan said. “And 95% of the time, nothing changes, but I’m not like, ‘you need to do this’ or ‘you need to do that’ or whatever it is. It’s like, ‘hey, this is my opinion from my experience within this business and this is how I think it would work better both for me and who I’m working with.’ But I don’t fight for it because I’m happy to be back.”
Daniel Bryan’s WWE contract is set to expire in September, and at this point it’s not known whether or not he will sign a new deal.
