WWE Considers Cancelling Live Shows Due To Risk Of Terrorist Attack

A lot of things matter to WWE more than money. The health and safety of their athletes is one of the most important things to WWE. That’s why a guy like Daniel Bryan was forced to retire due to concussions. But they take the safety of their fans even more seriously.

There was a terrorist attack on Monday in Manchester England at an Ariana Grande that took the lives of 23 people and injured 59. It was an awful night on Grande’s Dangerous Woman Tour and now other acts are reconsidering doing shows in the area.

WWE just completed a successful two-week European tour with their main roster that saw them traveling all over the UK. But they have a United Kingdom tour planned for NXT in the next couple of weeks.

Now WWE is considering canceling their upcoming NXT live show in Manchester England on June 6th due to the recent Ariana Grande concert bombing.

WWE told TMZ Sports, “WWE offers its heartfelt condolences to those affected by this tragedy. We are working with local authorities on the appropriate course of action as it relates to our event scheduled for Tuesday, June 6 at the Manchester Arena.”

Let’s hope WWE doesn’t have to cancel their show but we would understand if they felt they needed to. It would be a real shame for the fans because NXT puts on a great live show when they go on tour. Some would say though if WWE cancels the show, then the terrorists win.

But in this unpredictable world with such unnecessary hatred and violence sometimes an escape like the one WWE can offer is what people need. Only time will tell if they actually follow through with the cancellation. But WWE is currently looking into if they will need to call off their upcoming NXT live show in Manchester.
