Monday Night Raw is a long show with a lot of commercial breaks, and unfortunately the commercial breaks often cut into the in-ring action. However, it was recently reported that Vince McMahon has declared there will be no more wrestling during commercial breaks.
PWInsider is also reporting that matches are now to end with the same segment instead of running over multiple segments.
The exception to the rule is matches with multiple falls, as the plan is for each fall to take place per segment, which is why Kofi Kingston competed in matches with multiple falls on Raw and SmackDown last week.
It’s also being reported that an idea to try matches with multiple rounds has been pitched over the last few weeks.
The idea is similar to the old European rounds system, but at this point it’s not known if WWE will be moving forward with the idea.
