Last week Glenn Ruth, better known to WWE fans as Headbanger Thrasher, announced on Facebook that the team would be returning to WWE on SmackDown Live. WWE has now confirmed their return, and they’re teasing that The Headbangers may enter the tag team tournament. WWE posted the following announcement:
Former WWE Tag Team Champions The Headbangers, Mosh and Thrasher, surprised the WWE Universe when they announced on Twitter that they would be returning to WWE on tonight’s episode of SmackDown Live.
It has been quite some time since we have seen The Headbangers in a WWE ring and one must wonder why tonight will be the night for their return. Will their foray onto Team Blue have implications on the SmackDown Tag Team Championship Tournament that has already seen American Alpha and The Usos advance?
