This week’s episode of WWE Monday Night Raw featured a shocking turn after the main event as Bron Breakker speared Seth Rollins. Bronson Reed then solidified his alliance with Breakker as he connected with a tsunami on The Visionary. Breakker then grabbed the WWE World Heavyweight Championship and Paul Heyman held up Breakker and Reed’s arms as Raw went off the air.
Fightful Select reports that it’s widely speculated that Rollins suffered an injury while doing the coast to coast dive across the ring. However, the specific details regarding the injury are being kept very quiet.
One WWE source said, not on behalf of the company, that it would be better if Seth Rollins suffered a break of the arm as opposed to a shoulder injury as he could potentially return in December if he was dealing with a break. It was also noted that it’s unlikely WWE could avoid a “drastic change” if Rollins suffered a more serious shoulder injury.
Details are said to be foggy, but the hope among staff backstage was that the injury might not be as bad as feared because Seth Rollins was cleared for a physical segment on Raw.
It was hinted to Fightful that Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed turning on Seth Rollins on Raw was a heavy creative pivot. A source in WWE also said that they heard the split with Bron Breakker wasn’t planned or originally in the cards until next year.
Last week the Wrestling Observer reported that Seth Rollins, Bron Breakker, Bronson Reed, Brock Lesnar and Austin Theory were planned to team up for WarGames at Survivor Series to face Roman Reigns, CM Punk, Jacob Fatu, Jey Uso and either Jimmy Uso or LA Knight. The word last week was that plan was one option, but it’s being said that it was largely dismissed as not being the specific direction.
Stay tuned for more updates on Seth Rollins’ status as they become available.
