We’re currently on the road to Survivor Series: WarGames, and slowly but surely the two WarGames matches are coming together. Last week chaos ensued on SmackDown and it seemed that WWE was setting up The Bloodline vs. Drew McIntyre and The Brawling Brutes for Survivor Series: WarGames.
Drew McIntyre and The Brawling Brutes will likely have to recruit someone else for their team and there’s been speculation that Kevin Owens could fill the spot. However, Owens suffered an injury over the weekend.
Dave Meltzer recently discussed KO’s status on Wrestling Observer Radio where it was noted that Owens was likely going to be a surprise for WarGames, but that surprise has been called off due to the injury.
“I believe he (Owens) was going to be in the WarGames match. That’s not 100% confirmed, but it is certainly the talk, and he was supposed to be in something as a surprise, so it all adds up that it would be the WarGames match…
“If that was the case, this could cost him that.”
Survivor Series: WarGames will air on Saturday, November 26. Stay tuned for updates.
