Throughout the years fans have seen a wide variety of WWE premium live events with interesting names and themes. The company has created many original names, but from time to time WWE brings back something from the past.
It’s not uncommon for WWE to use old WCW pay-per-view names as we’ve seen in recent years with names like Halloween Havoc and Great American Bash being used in NXT.
Now it seems that WWE could potentially be bringing back another old WCW name as the company filed to trademark “SuperBrawl” On July 2nd. The description for the trademark reads as follows:
“Exhibition of professional wrestling events rendered through broadcast media including television and distributed via various platforms across multiple forms of transmission media; providing wrestling news and information through broadcast media including television and distributed via various platforms across multiple forms of transmission media; providing a website in the field of sports entertainment information”
There’s currently no word on whether or not WWE is just filing the trademark to protect the name, or if there are plans to use it in the future. Stay tuned for updates.
