August has been a big month for WWE premium live events as the first ever two night SummerSlam emanated from MetLife Stadium, and Clash in Paris is set to take place in a few weeks. Recently there’s been a lot of talk about WWE holding another premium live event in September, but so far no official announcement has been made.
The rumored date for the event is September 20th, and WrestleVotes is reporting that WWE will be reviving ECW’s old Wrestlepalooza name for the show. The Wrestlepalooza name was first used in ECW in 1995 and last used in the year 2000.
September 20th, it’s a “Wrestlepalooza”…

PWInsider is also reporting that there’s been discussion within the broadcast industry over the last few days that the upcoming PLE on September 20th could be a unique event that would air on ESPN. The idea is that ESPN would use the show as a preview of the type of programming that WWE will be bringing to their partnership when things officially kick off in April of 2026.
Currently WWE premium live events are licensed to Peacock in the United States, but there is currently no PLE listed for September on the schedule. The plan is for WWE to reveal the upcoming PLE and where it will broadcast at some point this week.
