WWE Boosts Sign-Ups For Peacock In Q1 Of 2021

The WWE Network launched as a standalone streaming service in 2014, and earlier this year it was announced that the WWE Network would be migrating to Peacock in the United States.

Comcast’s Q1 2021 earnings report notes that during the first three months of 2021 Peacock added 9 million sign-ups. The breakdown of free vs. paid tier members was not provided, but Peacock now has a total of 42 million subscribers.

Peacock credited WWE and The Office for assisting with the sign-ups in the following quote from the report:

“Peacock Has 42 Million Sign-Ups to Date Across the U.S., Benefiting from the Recent Addition of Exclusive Domestic Streaming Rights to WWE Network and The Office”

Peacock has been reviewing hours and hours of WWE footage for the streaming service and the full WWE library is expected to be available sometime in August.
