Recently TMZ reported that Vince McMahon was involved in a car accident last Thursday which resulted in McMahon being issued a issued a misdemeanor summons for reckless driving, and following too closely resulting in an accident. The incident was said to have been bad and McMahon’s Bentley was totaled along with the BMW he collided with. The debris from the accident was also scattered on the highway which led to a Ford Fusion hitting the debris.
Fightful Select is reporting that longtime WWE employees and those close to Vince McMahon noted it was a “joke, but serious,” for many years that Vince was an erratic driver. Some in his close circle would intentionally not ride with him when the offer was made.
When the news broke many assumed that Vince had a driver and hadn’t been driving himself lately. However, one source noted that Vince has always enjoyed driving himself, and that while he is driven places on occasion that’s something that was more common when Vince was on the road with WWE.
The impact from the accident caused the airbag’s in Vince McMahon’s Bently and the BMW he collided with to be deployed, but no serious injuries were reported following the incident.
