A few weeks ago John Cena did the unthinkable when he finally turned heel at Elimination Chamber. This week John Cena made his first appearance on WWE programming since Elimination Chamber when he appeared on Monday Night Raw in Brussels.
During the opening segment of Raw, John Cena unloaded on the fans as he accused them of being “abusive” and “toxic.” The atmosphere in the arena was electric as the fans also unloaded on the former WWE Champion with chants of “F*** you Cena” and “Shut the f*** up!”
Fightful Select is reporting that WWE was ecstatic with the reception that John Cena received during Raw on Monday. One source in the company said that this week’s Raw was the “hottest TV environment they’ve experienced,” and that it was a good sign for TV tapings there in the future.
John Cena is currently set to challenge Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship at WrestleMania 41 next month, and there’s a lot of anticipation heading into the show as John Cena hasn’t been a heel in over 21 years.
Currently John Cena is being advertised for Raw on March 24 and March 31, so it will be interesting to see what else he has to say in the weeks to come. Stay tuned for updates.
